Adjunct Instructor


Eric served four years in the U.S. Army receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of

Sergeant. He then went on to serve in Florida's Department of Corrections. 


During his career, he obtained a Florida Department of Law Enforcement instructor certification. With this certification, he has trained Department of Corrections Staff, Inspectors, as well as Law Enforcement Officers. He has also instructed academy classes at Chipola College in Florida.


Eric has over 27 years of supervisory and instructor experience in Military, Law Enforcement, and Corrections, highlighted by the following:

  • Florida National Guard

    • Topographic Instrument Repairer (1985-1986)

  • U.S. Army

    • Air Defense Artillery Operations and Intelligence Assistant (1986-1990)

  • Florida Department of Law Enforcement

    • Certified Instructor (2005-Present)

    • Certified Range Master/ Firearms Instructor (2008-Present)

  • Florida Department of Corrections - 25 years

    • Employed in all ranks from entry-level correctional officer to Captain

    • Supervisor - 25 years at four DOC Institutions

    • Regional Staff Development and Training for recruits as Instructor

    • Correctional Emergency Response Team

    • Certified First Responder

  • Chipola Community Colleges

    • Instructor for Law Enforcement and Corrections, Basic and Advanced courses

  • Skilled in communication, organizational leadership, and conflict resolution.

  • Experienced Role Player for Military and Law enforcement (OPFOR) exercises.


Specialized Experience and Training


General Instructor training, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Electronic Immobilization Device (EID) Instructor, Firearms Range Master, Cell Extraction instruction, Chemical Agents Instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor, Field Training Officer/Instructor, and Rapid Response Team (RRT).
